Occupy Jackson Trash Invades Downtown

Early Saturday morning, a DJT patrol officer noticed an unusual sight at Smith Park-several sleeping bags and tents had been set up, and there were non-homeless dirtbags standing around loitering.

It turns out that downtown's newest trash is "Occupy Jackson," a ragtag offshoot of the Occupy Wall Street movement.  The Clarion-Ledger reported that the dirtbags in question did not have a permit to occupy anything downtown.

When the DJT stopped to snap a few pics, the occupiers became annoyed.  They demanded to know who the DJT worked for, and claimed to have a permit (we now know this to be a lie).

There were only 2 vehicles present where the dirtbags set up camp.  Both belonged to the occupying force:

Rankin and Madison trash dirtying up downtown Jackson.  Seems to be a recurring theme.  The DJT is compelled to ask, Why don't you degenerates take this shit to Brandon or Madison?

And to the City of Jackson, we ask:  If these ass-clowns did not have a valid permit at the time they set up shop, why were they not arrested on the spot?

    Go Jackson!

  2. What a dumbass comment 10:03. They aren't flaunting their pig-ass bodies enticing low life trash in the guise of "entertainment". They SHOULD protest in their own cities, and let Jackson folks protest here. And they ARE breaking the law.

Didn't we have a gov. try that once.

  5. Apparently, the Occupy Jackson dirtbags don't think much of the DJT. Dirtbag-in-Chief James C.Farrar, Jr. contacted the DJT to threaten a "slander" lawsuit because we called them trash. We'll have another post on the latest empty lawsuit threat from Jackson's loser of the day later.

  6. Madison, huh? I think they should come on home and occupy the lawn in front of Mary's office. That would show us - hit all us evil rich white folks where we live instead of where we work. That way it would be a shorter drive for their parents when the police call to come and get them...

  7. FYI: OccupyJackson had a permit when we held our 1st event on October 15, 2011. Making Mr Crawley's coment that we didn't have a permit when we forst started an untrue statement, and yes, I still have a copy of that permit. I would have expected a lawyer to be smart enough to double check what he read before posting degratory comments and the untrue statement. What he read was "since October 26th when occupyjackson was incorporated".
In truth OccupyJackson was a DBA before incorporation and it did have a permit when we first started on October 15th. It was also told directly to me, James C. Farrar Jr., by Sgt. James Brown that for our current activities additional permits weren't needed; only when we have a continous presence of 24/7 inside the park would a permit be needed. I would advise any client of Mr Crawley's to make sure he is checking the facts of your case better than he checked the facts about OccupyJackson before he posted.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Mr. Crawley I didn't threaten you with a lawsuit, I stated a fact that I would seek approval from the Board of Directors of OccupyJackson to file a lawsuit because you have published something untrue without checking your facts.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Why don't you see if the board of directors will authorize you to get a job loser?

  10. As sad as it may be, I actually used to enjoy getting out of the office and walking to Smith Park everyday at lunch. Not much of a green space, but it's fairly relaxing giving the setting. The people (I'm going to refrain from name calling) that are mobilized on site are really starting to wear me down. Over the past week I have stopped at adjacent benches just to watch and there is minimal to zero interest in what they are selling. More than likely due to the fact that 90% are extremists that have no idea what they are selling. They "appear" to be whiners that obviously have nothing better to do than dirty up downtown. Am I wrong or is the park not supposed to close at 6 p.m.? The sheets hanging from the gazebo, the signage, and the tents should be removed or disposed of immediately. I have no problem with protestors...but in the words of the most interesting man in the world "stay classy my friend"!

    ReplyDelete
  11. I notice you only approve comments you like that agree with you and don't show that you didn't check your facts before publishing. I have refered it to our Legal Conultants and will ask the Board of Directors of OccupyJackson for permission to file a lawsuit if legal council agrees that your initial blog or anything else posted constitutes liable.
Oh, and there is no dirtbag-in-chief as a matter of fact we have no officers at this time so implying I am in charge of anything is also a lie. I hope Mr. Crawley checks his facts better for his clients.

  12. Why are post having to be authorized? This kind of kills the forum concept.

    ReplyDelete
  13. 1:22. WE ARE LAUGHING AT YOU IDIOTS. Your occupation is funny. You are funny. You are taking good air from this earth. "Occupy Jackson". Good Lord you are gonna occupy our broke ass city?

If you children are insistent on occupying something, go to the parks in the wealthy parts of the metro, where you have "something" in your "little minds" to protest.

You won't do that because you are chicken-shit, and really WILL get arrested.

So funny seeing you fools downtown.

  14. Wait a second...Occupy Jackson has a Board of Directors? First step of irony right there. Next comes the creation of their LLC or Corporation, right? LOL

  16. Hey degenerate James Farrar. The DJT did not refuse to publish your comment. It went to spam. When we saw it, we published it. Find something else to bitch about.

    ReplyDelete
  17. So blog moderator, could you please provide us with a list of what constitutes an unacceptable post. This is to keep me from wasting anymore time writing a response only to have it not displayed. I can appreciate the fact that it is your decision...just no sense in wasting time.

    ReplyDelete
  18. James Farrar @120pm, take the bullshit spin somewhere else. The City says you did not have a permit. You can repeat the lie over and over, but it's still a lie.

    ReplyDelete
  19. It is incorporated as a non-profit orginazation so yes there is a Board of Directors. Mr Crawley, the "DJT-Occice of the Commissioner", is also not pointing out to anyone it is a legal business Incorporated in the same voting ward and police precient. My residence is also in this police precent and ward.
If the phone book is correct Mr. Crawley only has a business in this area not a residence. I have both residence and business so Mr. Crawley unless I am wrong and your adress isn't in Brandon (Rankin County). so if the phone book is correct it is my residence town not yours so what is your problem agian, oh yea people from Madison and Rankin County comming into Jackson to protest.
Finally just an opinionated question DJT-Commissioner: If the phone book is correctly listing your address as Brandon, doesn't that make your posts here Hypocritical?

    ReplyDelete
  20. Crowley=Always Winning.

    ReplyDelete
  21. James Farrar, you've already been warned once to lose the spin. Stated another way, I'm telling you to stop lying. All contributors to DJT are residents of downtown Jackson. Get off the google before you injure yourself.

  23. Would you like me to scan the permit from October 15th and e-mail it to you? I have the doc to back up my statement unlike your statement which was taken out of context and misrepresented the facts; now I'm not calling names just pointing out that I was told growing up there were scubbag lawyers who didn't care about the truth, and you seem more bent on defending your statement than the truth. Feel free to provide me an email if you want to see the permit dated 10-15-2011 to show you misrepresented the fact.
Now a "scumbag" won't care for the truth in my opinion, if you do care about the truth then provide an e-mail and let me show you the permit and admit you were wrong. If you are worried about publishing your e-mail for the public feel free to call me back and provide one.

    ReplyDelete
  26. And I admit Iwas wrong about not you not living in Jackson; for some reason I looked up Crawley, maybe because I can picture you crawling under a rock. I see my mistake it is Crowley as in Crow like a rooster just to make noise. sorry I got your last name spelled wrong when I looked it up. I'm sure others looking at the lie that we didn't have a permit when we started understand my mistake.

  27. DJT...there is no lying so calm down just a bit. I am 1:46 and I am not from Occupy Jackson Trash (I actually wrote a response about removing them from the site...so I am right the opposite) My post took about 10 minutes+ to be shown all the while others were posted. I was merely trying to find out if I wanted to chance writing anymore lengthy post if they were to not be posted. But it was posted eventually. You should really relax a little...cooler heads usually prevail (I am actually on your side) I cannot understand the post approval concept though.

  30. Mr. Anonymous (funny how that works) 3:03,

You are correct, I have never mediated a blog and I do typically tend to post anonymously. The reason for that is due to people such as yourself that come on here just to foul mouth others. Your post has absolutely no point other than to call me a Dumbass. I have not bad mouthed one person ever on this website, nor will I ever. I respect the fact that Mr. Crowley has the right to review any post that he wants. I asked a simple question. Please tell me where I proved to be a dumbass. Comments like that tend to be related to insecure individuals that lack the ability to carry on an educated conversation... so they just name call. Now I'm sure that you are an exception to the rule... but just thought I would make note for future reference. Before I go let me apologize to you Sir Anonymous for my anonymous posting. It is obvious that I have so much to learn from you.

    With Deepest Admiration,

  38. I do not see a problem with young people expressing their views on problems that most people complain about in private, but do not have the balls to go and do something about! I applaud the protestors whether they are from Jackson or from somewhere else in the state! Afterall the movement IS called Occupy Mississippi not Occupy Jackson. I am unfortunately not a member as I do not have time in my busy lifestyle to go and join them. However I do not approve of bashing the ones protesting because we are a country based on democracy. We are allowed to each have different opinions and are allowed to express them through the constitution of the United States. While stating this I would also like to toss in the fact that you Curt Crowley are not too giving in truely allowing a forum on your blog when you are constantly blocking and removing comments that do not go with what you think is right or correct. You do however allow you and your buddies to show the true "intelligence" when posting stupid remarks over and over! Now let's see if you are going to censor this one!

  39. 811, we have published every comment submitted on this post. Even the person who was bitching earlier about his/her comment not being published admitted that it was actually published after all. We must request that you stop lying.

Also, you are incorrect about the name of the occupy organization. This group identifies itself as Occupy JACKSON, not Mississippi. Mr. Farrar himself refers to the group as occupy Jackson. He also incorporated the group as a non-profit named "Occupy Jackson," not Mississippi.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  45. The DJT doesn't give a rip about the substance of occupy trash's message. Just the location of their ridiculous campground. And the fact that they plan to stay in the park for 2 months because ass-clown James Farrar got his widdle feelings hurt by the mayor's office.

    ReplyDelete
  46. So we're trash? I find that humorous, to say the least. You see, I have two jobs. Cricket, who you've probably seen in the paper and on the news has three, and takes 15 hours (5 classes) at Hinds. The man you called a 'scumbag', from Scott County? He's a decorated Marine veteran who served in Vietnam. He was part of the march that caused Jackson to switch from a Commissioner-style Government to a Mayor-Council system. James, the man that talked to you at the park? He's a Navy veteran. I am as well.

Now, on to the 'Defamation of Character' suit. There is no real reason for a lawsuit, in my opinion, though would could attest that, since you're spreading lies about us, that it could be considered slanderous. Many of the people who you're spreading these lies about hold jobs in Jackson. I know I do. However, while we have grounds, I believe we'll be doing the adult thing in this situation.

Now, if you have a real problem with us, come and join our General Assembly and talk with us with civility instead of acting like children. We're having a celebration honoring the Veterans this Saturday (Friday, Veteran's Day/Armistice Day would have been difficult to do due to how many of our members work) starting at eleven, with a General Assembly at noon, and again at 5:30PM.

If, however, you would rather remain acting as children, then my personal opinion is that we should treat you like children. My suggestion? Blur or take down the license plates you've posted on here. Flash your pictures, badmouth us all you want, but if the TV Stations have to blur license plates, then so do you.

  48. Look above, Mr. McGregor.

Sorry, but I'm going to have to give you the crossed arms signal on this one. Treat us like children? A member of your mob has already tried to get your cyberterrorist friends to shut down this site. You can take your suggestion and shove it up your lawless ass.

You and your mob need to get out of our neighborhood. Go camp somewhere else.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Actually, he doesn't speak for the group. That his personal reaction to what happened. Unless it is voted on by the General Assembly, no action can be taken in the name of the Occupation. The person in question is very aware of that.

I would be more than happy to meet you for lunch, or perhaps to show you what we're really about out here, and perhaps then we can reach some form of civility instead of such insulting tirades. That, or you can continue to assume that we're nothing. If you'd like to meet, may I suggest Congress St. Bar and Grill at just past noon today?

If you do not want to go the civil route, then I'm afraid we've reached a place where I simply refuse to go further. While yes, we do have people who frequently find themselves upset or offended by something that has been said or done, you'll find that I keep a cool head, and I have no problem hashing this out with you. Unless, of course, you refuse completely to be associated with any sort of reasonable discourse, in which case... Well, we go back to the 'acting like children' comment, don't we? Adults, after all, are much more capable of talking things out.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Calling us Unemployed is obviously false, considering the above statements I've already made. Those of us that DON'T have a job that are out there (And I AM thankful I've got the two jobs that I have) are either unemployed by circumstance, one of the two mentally ill people that can't get help anywhere else that we take care of, or retired. The rest of us, and there are a good many of us (around 50 or 60 at General Assembly) have employment.

We have nurses, we have teachers, we have waiters, lawyers, and legal aides. There are EMTs, Receptionists, Firefighters, a Farmer, a Civil Rights advocate, a former IT Professional (now retired), and several veterans. There are Construction workers and businessmen as well. The people there understand that this is about Government Corruption on every level, not about 'getting a handout'.

It is, as they say, a 'big tent'. We have black people, white people, Muslims, Christians, Atheists, Deists, Agnostics, Taoists, and Buddhists. Everyone is welcome equally. There are Tea Party members, Green Party members, Republicans, Democrats, Liberals, and Conservatives. To call us 'Unemployed butt-monkeys' doesn't belittle our cause - It couldn't be further from the truth. We're not out there because WE don't have jobs, we're out there because our brothers, sisters, neighbors, and children don't have jobs, and particularly because our children at this rate won't have a future.

Criticize us. Ridicule us. Attack us personally. Come on, bring your best and bring your worst. I promise, you don't scare us, and you never will. This is a movement of the people as a whole, all over the world, over 1600 cities in 83 countries, all crying out at once that something has to change. Can you really not feel it? I get the idea that we are not so different, you and I. I speak out against much of the same stuff you do. This corruption, these senators who privately fund things that ruin Jackson, for instance.

It's a pity, by the way, that you don't want to meet for lunch. Congress St. has the best burgers downtown.

  55. DJT - I find it hard to take you serious with your elementary methods of fighting. "Butt Monkeys" haha seriously? This is nothing more than comic relief at this point. That's some impressive language for a lawyer. As for you MR. McGregor, I personally am appreciative of you and your associates for their services in the U.S. Military. I have utmost respect for all military personnel. With that being said, you should understand that individuals would be more willing to listen or at least tolerate your agenda if you provided a respectable looking protest site. Many people care deeply for this city (as you might as well), but allowing cardboard signs and loose hanging sheets to cover a central park is irresponsible and tacky. I would be willing to hear what you have to say one day as I walk by there frequently, but your setup turns me against you. Dress for success my friend...make yourself presentable. Put up the tents, take down the sheets, create professional looking signs...and then we will take you serious. You are doing nothing more than adding to the homeless aesthetic of Smith Park

  58. The 'sheets' are actually two very thick tarps that we put up to protect our stuff from the rain. The tents...Well, we're working on that. Remember though, that this is a movement funded by the Middle Class alone. No one can just go out and purchase high-class, high quality equipment. If we could, we would probably just get a bunch of middle quality stuff anyway. The same goes for the signs. The majority of the people who put in work for signs are college students during their free time, so 'professional' signs are difficult to come by. If you'd like to help out, feel more than free.

  59. With all do respect, if that's the best college students can create....then those kids are in a world of trouble. Take pride in what you do and don't make excuses about money. I had very little money in college, but when I had a project I cared deeply about, I used my social money to present the best final product I could. Don't make excuses, it makes you seem less legitimate. You don't need tarps, take your stuff home at night and bring it back the next day. Respect the community and they will usually show more respect to you and your agenda. Just food for thought

  60. How about ass goblins? Better?

  61. That's just it: The stuff is part of the statement. Besides that, we have actually been cleaning the park. We scrub the sidewalks, take out the trash, pick up cigarette butts, and a variety of other things. We put up the flags all around because they represent our movement, and because we understand the sacrifice that went into them. We DO, as I'm sure you're aware, provide shelter of a sort to homeless people in the area, provided they put in their part to help us out. We also provide food and drink to them, mostly in the form of water. We recycle everything we can, including tobacco out of cigarettes.

By the way, I'm at the above restaurant. Feel free to drop in. I'm the guy in the corner with the laptop wearing a red shirt.

Why don't you tell everyone exactly how long you dirtbags intend to camp out in our yard? From October 15 to December 26, is it not? You want to take over our park for 60+ days.

Stop trying to paint your mob as a productive group of concerned citizens. This is nothing more than a pissing contest between unemployed loser James Farrar and the Mayor's Office.

We will be writing another post about the *real* reason your mob is still in Smith Park. In the meantime, spin away.

  63. Mr. Jacob McGregor,

Please sue DJT. I would very much enjoy the spectacle. Assuming your claim survived the pleading stage, which it almost certainly would not, I would be much amused to see how you would attempt prove any damages resulting from DJT's "defamation" of you. You see, in a defamation case, you have to prove that you were harmed by the defamatory words. Also, there is the significant hurdle that, if what DJT said is true, then he wins. My free advice is that your strongest argument would be that you are, in actuality, NOT an "unemployed butt monkey," and that when you read those words you wept in frustration, thus incurring damages of $3.50.

DJT: I suggest a fund raiser to cover the costs of the inevitable above judgment. I suggest an "Occupy Penny Pitchers" event at the Dutch Bar.

We are NOT against the rich of our local communities! We are not even AGAINST the top 1%...we are against corruption. We just want a separation of corporations and states. While you have your valid reasons for concern for your city, you COULD lessen the impact with your support. The occupiers aren’t going anywhere, as much as you might try and hope. Even if they get run out of Smith Park, they will just find another place. They will continue to raise awareness. They will continue to grow their numbers. They will continue to network with others nationally. They will continue to have the support of Anonymous. It will take time…a long time…but this is the change that people want. Vontinue to watch. Continue to give us opportunities to voice our platform. Continue to put us in the spotlight. WE WILL OCCUPY!
